"I pride myself on being healthy so when something like the nasty head cold that has been floating around New York City recently hits me and knocks me to the ground, i don't deal with it very well! In fact, i get pretty depressed. So i made this colorful smoothie 'tonic' the other day and it lifted my spirits a little. The turmeric is great for inflammation and the cayenne pepper really gets that congestion moving!"

 

INGREDIENTS:

2 oranges

1/2 red capsicum

1 carrot

1 tsp tumeric powder

pinch (or 3!) cayenne pepper

1 tsp+ apple cider vinegar

1 cup water 

 

  1. Throw everything into a blender and blend until smooth.
