"These little bites of heaven are a go-to snack for me when i am craving something chocolatey and sweet. Sometimes the mixture doesn't even make it into balls as i have a habit of eating most of it straight from the food processor #theyarejustsodamngood!

My favorite nut butter to use is hazelnut, with peanut butter coming a close second. Just be careful not to eat too many of them at once as cacao is a serious stimulant and could have you buzzing for hours!"

I N G R E D I E N T S: (make about 12 small balls if you don't eat the mixture first!)

1 cup medjool dates, pitted and soaked for 15 mins

1 cup raw cashews, soaked with the dates for 15 mins

1 big tbsp raw cacao powder + extra for rolling

1 big tbsp coconut oil

1 cup shredded coconut

1 big tbsp of your favourite nut butter (I used hazelnut)

1 tbsp chia seeds 

  1. Throw everything into a food processor and mix until smooth.
  2. Roll into balls by scooping out the mixture with a tablespoon and rolling between your hands. 
  3. OPTION to then roll the balls through some extra cacao powder or shredded coconut or place the balls on a piece of parchment paper and dust like shown above in the picture.
